NEW YORK

This summer I had the opportunity to travel to New York. While I was there I had time to wheatpaste some posters and hook up with some very nice people. Here you can see a short selection of shots.

WALLS OF FAME MILAN

I was commisioned by the City Council of Milan to realize some wallpaintings for a project called “Walls of Fame”. The aim was to renew two buildings in the periphery of Milan creating murals inspired on famous personalities of the city. I decided to portrait the famous Milanese painter Caravaggio, the holy Virgin Mary wich is a golden statue symbol of the city, Alessandro Manzoni who was a poet and a writer and Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, the founder of the Futurist movement.
On another building I decided to portrait foreign artists who always had been a great source of inspiration for my art such as Frida Kalho, Keith Haring and Andy Warhol. All murals were realized in Milan during May 2011.

LEONFORTE

The city council of Leonforte, a small town in the middle of Sicily, invited me to create a Mural for the Aniversary of the 400 years of the Foundation of the City. I took the inspiration from the local people. In the wallpainting you can notice some Leonforte’s oldests inhabitants with the traditional “coppola” hat seaten in front of thebars looking at people passing by. A young waitress is carrying a pizza and a beer. On the backwards stands the mount “Cernigliere” with his Virgin sculpture. A man is carrying some boxes full of peaches, one of the tastier local products. On the backwards stands the mount “Cernigliere” with his Virgin sculpture and also some local monuments such as the “Granfonte” Fountain, the “Branciforti” palace, the “Scuderia”. Also you can’t miss the typical local young boy with sunglasses driving fast with his scooter and his mother going to buy some food… Last but not least the Lion as the symbol of the city of Leonforte which literally means “Strong Lion”. Many thanks to Turo, Antonio, Moreno and Giuseppe for their big help.

15 YEARS OF STREET ART

BURGOS

November 2009. The city council of Burgos in the Northern Spain commited me a big scale wallpainting to celebrate the Aniversary of the Cathedral since it achieved the status of Patrimony of Humanity. The theme I had to work on had to be inspired on the theme of Paradise. The wall was huge (20 mt wide for 8 tall) and near to the city centre. On my arrive I have been told by Luan the organizer about a local history of a Christ sculpture found beneah the sea so I took inspiration on that mith to realize the artwork.

CUBA

In july 2008 I spent a two weeks  in La Habana with my friends of Artkitchen to join the  ”CubeArt” street art festival. We realized two wallpaintings in the streets of La Habana & Bauta. We had the luck of getting in touch with the local artist  and realize an amazing collaboration with them. Thanks to everybody for the great time.
